The TV looked great, but quickly we noticed that any sound on the HDMI ports were delayed by about half a second. I contact LG support and they acknowledged that it needed the “lip sync” upgrade and told me someone locally would be in contact within 7-10 business days to schedule a repair. We’re now 15 business days after that date and no local contact. I contact LG again, they apologized but said it would be processed within another 10-14 business days. I will post an update if/when this fix is installed and whether it truly fixes the issue. I’m not sure how a company continutes to ship a TV this expensive with a fault that obvious.
My recommendation is to find an alternative at this point due to poor support.

I’ve had my 55LH55 for a few days now and its everything I hoped it’d be. HD tv, PS3 and blue ray are all crisp and extremly responsive. I have not had any issue with the lip-sync issue that others are having. It may be due to the fact that I upgraded my HDMI cables to 1.3(which you should do anyway and for the price on Amazon.com you’d be foolish not to). As for the sound it could be a little better, but for a LCD sound system it’s not that bad. To be honest though why would you buy this kind of set and not hook it up to 5.1 or 7.1 surround system.
Bottom line is the LG 55LH55 is the LCD you are looking for if you want a mind blowing picture, without blowing a hole in your pocket.

This is a great buy. I priced the LG 50-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV at Best buy near me and it was on sale for the same price as this 55 inch 240 hz. At best buy I would have also had taxes and they wanted 179.00 for shipping. The Picture Quality is excellent and my cable provider is broadcasting in 1080i. I can’t wait to see it when broadcasting in 1080p. The Delivery company was very professional, they brought it into my home and waited until I inspected everything. I will definitely look on Amazon.com again when ready to make other purchases. Very Happy with everything.

After a bumpy but eventual reciept of the TV, we were happy with the end product. It looks really nice and the picture on HD channels and Blue Ray is incredible. The refresh rate can sometimes not catch up with the action on the TV and you can see some blur of the figure, but that is very infrequent. Non HD channels are pretty grainy depending on the channel and program – part of that is comparing HD to non HD. I am working with LG on the lip synch issue with certain channels where the audio is behind the video – apparently this is common. They are sending me a software update to address the problem…we’ll see if that works. Otherwise the price was right ($1680) and the TV looks great hanging on the wall!

From ordering the TV to the delivery and setup, this was the easiest purchase! The price was right and the quality is outstanding. We read other reviews that claimed to have sound issues but ours couldn’t be better. This picture is amazing, and when watching a blu ray disc you feel like you’re standing right there! The HD channels come through with true clarity and even regular channels look great. All in all, we decided that our old tv might as well have been in black in white because this one is really that awesome!!

I bought this TV a month ago. Thanks to the substandard cables I used from my cable TV provider, there appeared lines in the picture. A Mediabridge Ultra Series – 3ft High Speed HDMI Cable – Version 1.3b Cat.2 rectified this, and now the TV is performing very well.
Pros: Very good picture quality, Good sound system, light weight
Cons: Customer service– The manufacturer, EQD corp, never took my call. Each time I was getting the message to ‘please leave your message’, and I have not received a return call from them until now.
Bottom line: If the TV can stand the test of time, and if EQD improves their customer service, Auria will be a successful, popular brand of low-cost, high quality HDTV.

This is a good choice for a set that is placed in a kitchen or somewhere that it is not the primary viewing set. Picture quality is good, but I am having problems getting the color pallet exactly the way it should be. The yellows seem to be a bit off. Other than that…it does provide a good picture. The sound is pretty good as well. This TV puts out a HUGE amount of sound. I rarely have to go above 3 or 4 clicks to get adequate sound. Menus are tiny, due to the 1080p, so you have to make sure that you are up close to change any settings on the menus. The display quality manages to stay up with the action on the set, no blurring even during playing games on a PS3. All in all, this is a good purchase and well worth the money.

I’ve only had this a couple of days now. Setup is straightforward.
I have it setup us follows: Tivo (Standard def) into S-video.
Cable HD DVR into HDMI
DVD player into Component
Rokku into Composite
All inputs worked fine. Picture quality in SD is surprisingly good across the board. My cable provider only has 1080i as the max so I am using this at 720P, but the picture is superb. Excellent color and contrast in all modes. Remote is very straightforward. As has been noted this comes with no manual. You can download one at their website (a PDF file). [...]
A few quibbles:
1) The menu text is very very small. They could have easily doubled the text size.
2) For some reason the Zoom setting seems a bit much when expanding a 4.3 image to fill the screen. I hate using the standard stretch to fill a 4.3 image as it makes everything look spread out (naturally). So I use the next Zoom to also stretch the height so the aspect ratio is back to normal. But it feels like more is being cut off than I was used to with my previous 19″ 16.9 LCD which this replaces. It feels like there could have been a bit less zoom magnification and still fill the screen. Landmarks I used are how much of the channel logo at the bottom is left onscreen and how much of the Rating Symbol at the top is left onscreen. A faier bit more was displayed on the old 19″.
3) I dislike the position of the inputs. They are underneath a bulge in the back of the tv and you have to work upwards to plug in components. I much prefer the inputs to be flat on the back so you are looking right at them. Much easier to manage, especially if the tv is in a tight area. Minor quibble for me as I set everything up at once and hopefully will not have to revsit for a long time.

Got one of Auria’s 24 inch TV’s and am using it as both a TV and monitor. Works great. Easy set up. Wish that there was a customer user guide included with the machine but called customer support and they sent me one immediately via email. I guess I could have got it from their website. Great product. Would recommend to others.

Purchased this TV for my daughter’s dorm room. Installation was very simple. She is very pleased with the television’s sound, size, and quality, and because it was less than $300, she doesn’t worry about it getting destroyed (as much).
